STU (Signalling Termination Unit)
A STU or signalling device is connected to an alarms communication output or relays.
Depending on the type of activation depends on the signal sent either to a ARC to alert key holders, your Guarding Company or the the Fire Brigade.
Some work on a standard telephone line, others use both the Mobile Network providers and a standard telephone line, some use IP Networks and the Mobile Networks and some just use the Moible Networks.
The type of STU used would depend on property location, system grading, insureurs requirements or on the CIE communication output.
